Who deserves the glory???

Exodus 32 New International Version (NIV)
When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.

A pastor is a shepherd, taking care of the sheep for a master. Like Moses, Pastors are finding a problem in directing their sheep of how they should behave towards them;yet they are the shepherds of these days.
Moses had a difficult time assuring the Israelites that there was an invisible God that was working in him; who was his Master because they saw him as God and without they wouldn’t survive “they thought”. Till this incident of the golden calf, the Israelites believed that all the miracles that had happened was by Moses because they always saw him pray to a God they didn’t see; that’s why they said that “Moses who brought us out of Egypt”
We know that Moses didn’t enter the promised land, but he wasn’t among those that committed the terrible sin of defying God then what could’ve gone wrong!!!

Exodus 34:14 “Do not worship any other god, because I, the Lord, tolerate no rivals.

God is not equaled;

so many believers now days have equalled their pastors, friends, guardians, fathers, brothers, sisters and relatives to God and they have exalted them beyond necessity. The people that Moses led from Egypt are the same reason he just saw the promise from a far, because they defied God by upholding him for everything God had done for them all the way. This is what we believers have become today, we glorify and praise the vessels God uses more that God Himself and we have made them unacceptable in the eyes of God by bringing to them pride.

No matter what somebody has done for you and how great they look in your sight, just know that there is someone greater who uses them to do what they do so give the glory to who deserves it.

The fear of the Lord is not in us but we fear the people He has chosen to use more, we have not searched for the Lord as He can still be found but we’ve searched for His vessels.
Woe to these vessels as God calls the sheep theirs but not His and a big burden is on their shoulders and like Moses they might not see the promise of God; and that’s external life with Christ Jesus.

Luke 18:19 Worldwide English (New Testament) (WE)
Jesus answered him, `Why do you call me good? Only one is good, and that is God.

So be careful my brothers and sisters, you don’t want to see your Pastor or somebody that has been of great importance to you, miss heaven just because of you.

Our golden calf

Exodus 32 New International Version (NIV)

When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”

Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”

When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD.” So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt. They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. They have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and have said, ‘These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.’

“I have seen these people,” the LORD said to Moses, “and they are a stiff-necked people. Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.”

But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God. “LORD,” he said, “why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand? Why should the Egyptians say, ‘It was with evil intent that he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn from your fierce anger; relent and do not bring disaster on your people. Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self: ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.’” Then the LORD relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.

Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back.

The tablets were the work of God; the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.

When Joshua heard the noise of the people shouting, he said to Moses, “There is the sound of war in the camp.”

Moses replied:

When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain. And he took the calf the people had made and burned it in the fire; then he ground it to powder, scattered it on the water and made the Israelites drink it.

I was speaking to God’s saints yesterday and  were sharing of course about “Being appreciative to God”

The Israelites had every reason to believe in God because actually they had seen the signs of His greatness but despite all the things they had seen, they still wanted a tangible God for themselves; or maybe this God of ours doesn’t even exist, or He cannot hear, ummh maybe He can’t even see!!!! They questioned within them selves like God’s people today.

So with all the thoughts on their mind, they wanted a god that is tangible, the one they thought could see, hear and see them and take the glory for saving them from Egyptians.

Even today we’ve made our own gods equating them to be God the Almighty and we think that He can exist within them, bit the bible says that our God is a jealousy God and more to it His kingdom is in heaven. What ever sculpture or model you’ve made for yourself cannot represent God in anyway but it becomes another god to you. God is spirit and those who worship Him worship in spirit and in truth.

Today people have found comfort in the things they desire than the provider Himself because they have forgotten the one that gives and concentrated on what He gives; what a pity!!!! In Their children, wealth and knowledge they have found rest and they have deserted their purpose in God for the things that they feel God cannot do.

God is Almighty and that’s His nature , He never, is there any situation too Hard for Him? Is there anybody He cannot give peace and rest??? Why then should we substitute God with other things!!!!

Demolish the golden calf in your life that has taken God’s place and survive God’s anger today, return to the first place and let God return the first love that you had for Him so that His glory once again will manifest in you.

Be blessed

Now is the time

To fight or die

It’s a dangerous thing for a soldier to go to battle and just stand on the battle ground unless he wants to commit suicide.
So happens to us believers, the moment you decide to accept Jesus as your  Lord and Savior then expect attacks and all sorts of storms raised towards you because you chose to stand against the kingdom of darkness and prepare your way to eternal life.

Are you just going to stand and watch yourself wither away??? Or stand and fight???

For Jesus says you will face alot of tribulations in this world but be strong for i’ve overcome.John 16:33

Victory belongs to Jesus my brothers and sisters because He is “a Mighty man of war” the “Lord of Hosts” who commands a large army of angels.

How then do we fight?

There is no weapon that is greater than prayer in Christian faith. We don’t wrestle with flesh and blood but with rulers and principalities, rulers and hosts in the heavenly places that’s why Jesus tells His disciples what “pray so that you’ll not be led into temptation”

When you pray to God you call Him to get involved into your life and work for your good so no matter what you’re facing pick up your prayer weapon and move to the battle ground.

“Since the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of heaven has faced violence and the violent take it by force” Matthew 11:12

What it means to trust.

Psalms 27:14 Wait for the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.
Something comes in my mind when I hear the word trust. Literally I would think that it has to do with the confidence you have in someone…but in my views when it comes to God I think we should talk about “full trust” waiting patiently even when things look hopeless which amounts to faith.

The Bible says that without faith it is “impossible” to please God Hebrews 11:6 Galatians 3:11, Yes impossible!!! And the just shall live by faith Hebrews 10:38.
These two scriptures have been so fundamental in my life whenever I feel a sense of doubt within my spirit because they remind me a bout the life I chose, “a life of the just, a life of faith” Fear is the main cause of doubt and when trouble seems to consume you, fear shadows the might of our God and brings doubt which tells you to find a way out of your situation for yourself and maybe think that God is not by your side this time or maybe He has taken long!!! Here the word doesn’t seem to yield in your life but the Bible is very clear that our God never sleeps nor slumbers Psalms 121:4, He will never forsake us even though we walk through fire or deep waters and He is never late meaning His timing is the best.
It doesn’t matter whether you successfully go through with your plan or not, God requires you to follow His lead always as long as you chose Him. Let’s look at King Asa who had a splendid plan to conquer his enemies before hearing from the Lord who helped him get to where he was. 2Chronicles15-16
A generation of Israelites died in the desert because they doubted God who had started the journey with them and brought them that far so they chose to make idles for themselves and believe in Moses!!!! They made gods that couldn’t fight, talk and even help themselves that they just carried them

“All the other gods they are works of men they’re dead Psalms 135:16-18 but God is alive can fight, speak, work, heal, provide, protect all for our sake”
Psalms 40 I waited patiently for the Lord and He turned to me and heard my cry.

It’s always important to trust the Lord with your whole heart like David did so that the Lord will be pleased with you and pour out a blessing that will give you the desires of your heart.
